Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loss Mitigation Processor to join our team. The Loss Mitigation Processor plays a critical role in assisting borrowers facing financial difficulties by facilitating loss mitigation options. This position involves managing the documentation and communication processes related to loss mitigation, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Essential Duties:
- Collect and review documentation submitted by borrowers seeking loss mitigation options.
- Ensure that all required documents are accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with borrowers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of loss mitigation applications.
- Respond to borrower inquiries and provide guidance on the loss mitigation process.
- Perform accurate data entry of loss mitigation-related information into company systems.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all communication and documentation related to loss mitigation.
- Collaborate with loss mitigation specialists, underwriters, and other relevant departments to address challenges and streamline processes.
- Liaise with external agencies, legal professionals, and servicers as needed.
- Assist borrowers in understanding and exploring available loss mitigation options, such as loan modifications, forbearance, and repayment plans.
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements for each loss mitigation option.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance in all loss mitigation documentation.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the completeness and correctness of loss mitigation files.
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a loss mitigation processor or in a similar role within the mortgage industry.
- Knowledge of loss mitigation options, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
- Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: $20-$25 hour
