Assistant Bookkeeper
A locally owned company is looking for their next motivated team member to join their accounting department. Their office culture thrives on teamwork, hard work, and allows for flexibility to accommodate the demands of life outside the office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable
- Assisting with payroll and processing payroll journal entries, including time keeping maintenance in Buddy Punch (knowledge of Buddy Punch is a plus, but not required), making certain all timecards are accurate for payroll processing.
- Providing information to payroll service and HR benefits as needed or requested
- Sales Order Creation and Invoicing
- Reconciliation including receive, process, and reconcile daily bank and vendor statements.
- Maintain accurate records and files
- Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications for Accounting Specialist
- Preferred Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or currently enrolled in an accounting or finance program, or 3 plus years experience
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google products such as Excel, Word & Google Docs.
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Can work independently and without supervision, is a must due to Supervisor being offsite.
Contract-to-Direct
Schedule: 32 hours week. Flexible between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs
Pay: $22-$24/hour (depending upon experience)

Benefits upon hire into a permanent position and are based on hours worked
