ACCOUNTING CLERK
Position will report directly to the CFO and will support the accounting aspects of our on-going projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong project accounting background with exposure to the construction industry. The culture of the company is family-oriented and ideal for someone who works well in a small-company-feel environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile and prepare monthly project billings to clients and owners. Prepares AIA or other billing schedules and associated lien documents. Reconciles monthly billing to ledgers.
Enter estimates and change order updates into accounting software.
General understanding and administrative support of insurance requirements for projects, including subcontractor insurance compliance, and lien releases.
Obtain proper approvals on vendor invoicing/expenditures. Ensure invoices are being entered and coded in a timely manner.
Adhere to proper internal accounting controls and contribute new ideas for improvement.
General accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure accuracy of account transactions.
Maintain project accounting files.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Accounting Clerk is expected to be detail oriented with organizational and administrative project management skills.
Have excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to multitask and to work well with others under deadline situations.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Construction experience preferred in AIA billings, SOVs, Change orders, etc.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay: $21.00/hour- $28.00/hour depending upon experience
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday (7:30 AM-4:00 PM)
